President Volodymyr Zelensky and other Ukrainian officials cast doubt on Russia’s promise to withdraw troops near the capital of Kyiv in pursuit of peace, and as it turned out, they were right. It appears the army was just repositioning some troops, not withdrawing. Ukrainian President  Zelenskyy added that  Russian forces moving away from Kyiv was a result of “our defenders’ work” and was not a withdrawal.

And for the first time, Zelensky said what we’ve all been thinking…that the ongoing Russia-Ukraine peace negotiations are a “smokescreen” used to buy time.

Today, he warned that Russia was massing troops for new attacks in the Donbas region, as seen on satellite imagery.

In related news, Putin a decree ordering 134,500 new conscripts into the army as part of Russia’s annual spring draft, which will bolster their troops attacking Ukraine.
