As Hurricane Milton bore down on Florida last night, intrepid news reporters were out in the storm reporting minute by minute until the winds knocked them over.
CNN anchor Anderson Cooper was updating from Bradenton, Fla., in the midst of 100-plus-mph winds and heavy rain and flooding, when he got whacked in the face with debris.
“The water now is really starting to pour over. If you look at the ground — whoa!” he said in the video before a large white object flew into his face.
FEMA Director Deanne Criswell spoke out this morning, saying the impact from Hurricane Milton could have been far worse, saying Thursday morning Florida dodged the “worst-case scenario.”
Anderson Cooper, over at CNN, was hit by debris but kept on reporting. Thanks to them, we got coverage from the ground.
