Sunday Trump said ‘I can relate’ to all the government workers who are without pay as the shutdown continues into its third week, and added that ‘many of those people that won’t be receiving a paycheck, many of those people agree 100 percent with what I’m doing,’
Asked by a reporter how these people will feed their families, he answered cavalierly: ‘They will make an adjustment because they want to see the border taken care of.’
As always, he blamed the shut down on the Democrats who refuse to give Trump 5 Billion for a wall.
‘Schumer and Nancy Pelosi and myself can solve this in 20 minutes if they want to. If they don’t want to it’s going to go on a long time,’ he said.
Over the President’s short but tumultuous time in office he has repeatedly shown himself to be out of touch with the people, and some would say, reality.
