After terror attacks in France and Brussels amid the Israel-Hamas war, MTV has pulled their European Music Awards which were to take place in Paris at the Paris Nord Villepinte on November 5.

Just yesterday, six airports across France were evacuated following threats of attacks, while on Monday two men were shot dead in Brussels by a man claiming to be with ISIS.

In a statement, MTV said:

‘The MTV EMAs are an annual celebration of global music. As we watch the devastating events in Israel and Gaza continue to unfold, this does not feel like a moment for a global celebration.

‘With thousands of lives already lost, it is a moment of mourning. We look forward to hosting the MTV EMAs again in November of 2024.’
