Former presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who endorsed Republican nominee Donald Trump (in exchange for a position within his cabinet) as recently as July called Trump ‘a terrible President.’

In the past, Kennedy has repeatedly condemned Trump:

  1. Referring to him as a “bully.”
  2. Trump appealed to “bigotry,” “hatred,” “xenophobia” and “prejudice.”
  3. He failed to “drain the swamp” as he’d promised. “Despite rhetoric to the contrary, President Trump has a weakness for swamp creatures, especially corporate monopolies, their lobbyists, and their money,” he tweeted in June.
  4. Called him a ‘threat to democracy.’
  5. “President Trump has not only brought this country into disrepute around the globe, but he has also brought into disrepute the entire American experience with self-governance,” Kennedy said.

But on Friday, Kennedy couldn’t flatter his new boss enough, saying that while he and the former president “don’t agree on everything,” they do share ‘similar isolationist views on US foreign policy’ along with government censorship.

For his part, Trump — who has also criticized JFK Jr.in post on Truth Social  — has called Kennedy “the dumbest member of the Kennedy clan” and “Democratic plant”  and a“radical left liberal.”
