So Stephen Colbert won an Emmy for his Election Night 2020 live special and in jest, Conan O’Brien rushed on stage, celebrating as if he was part of the Colbert team.
Colbert took it in stride (or was it pre-planned? ) saying in his acceptance speech: ‘And all of these people behind me, most of these people behind me… most of the people behind me really deserve this Emmy right now.’
It was perfect.
