We went from ‘Glass Skin’ to the newest fad, ‘Cloud Skin’ in no time at all.
“Cloud skin” has become the anti-glass-skin movement. Instead of looking glazed like a donut, users now want a blurred, velvety complexion that resembles an Instagram filter in real life. Think less disco ball, more expensive cashmere throw pillow.

Beauty brands, naturally, are sprinting to keep up. Celebrity makeup artist Patrick Ta recently launched “transition blush,” designed to blend blush seamlessly into concealer for an airbrushed finish.
Of course, not everyone is thrilled. Some longtime makeup fans on Reddit say the endless parade of liquid blush launches is starting to feel suspiciously identical. One user joked they could no longer tell the difference between half the products TikTok influencers rave about.

Still, TikTok’s beauty machine shows no signs of slowing down. By next week, everyone may be applying lavender contour with a spoon or frosting their eyebrows silver. And honestly? The algorithm would absolutely call it revolutionary.
