After CBS News editor in chief Bari Weiss shelved a planned “60 Minutes” story titled “Inside CECOT,” at the very last moment, it created an uproar, and not just at the network. It was widely acknowledged that CBS made a political decision to kill the episode.

In Canada, which has the air rights, ’60 Minutes’  streamed on a Global TV Network, and after people copied the episode and posted it on YouTube, it reached a worldwide audience.
