In Birmingham, fans of Black Sabbath’s Ozzy Osbourne lined the streets as the funeral procession proceeded down the city’s main street.

The heavy metal icon died at 76.The procession made its way down Birmingham’s Broad Street to a canal bridge named in honor of Black Sabbath. The bridge features a bench with life-size cutouts of the band’s four founding members — Osbourne, Terry “Geezer” Butler, Tony Iommi and Bill Ward.

An emotional Sharon Osbourne, who was married to the musician for 43 years, was supported by her two youngest children, Kelly and Jack, who at some points had to hold her up to prevent her from collapsing.The funeral procession stopped at the canal bridge named in honor of Black Sabbath. The bridge features a bench with life-size cutouts of the band’s four founding members — Osbourne, Terry “Geezer” Butler, Tony Iommi and Bill Ward.As Sharon left flowers at the growing memorial, fans sang ‘Crazy Train.’

The Lord Mayor of Birmingham Zafar Iqbal said in a statement, “Ozzy was more than a music legend — he was a son of Birmingham.”
