Tour d’Argent, the famous 400-year-old restaurant in Paris, re-opened after an 18-month renovation. The Tour d’Argent – which translates as ‘’Silver Tower’’ — has a redesigned dining room with an open kitchen, and a new ‘invigorated’ menu. (It’ll cost you about $150 – $200 for lunch, and that’s without drinks.)
Said to be the inspiration for the restaurant in the movie, ‘Ratatouille,’ the Michelin-starred eaterie is a part of French history. Opened in 1582, the “Sun King’’ Louis XIV reportedly ate there as have many historical figures over the years.
From one of the windows, you can eat your escargot while watching the restoration of Notre Dame and take in the breathtaking views.
