The Gentlemen is based on the 2019 film of the same name, which was written and directed by Guy Ritchie and starred Matthew McConaughey and Charlie Hunnam.
The new Netflix series is also a Guy Ritchie production from start to finish, and based on the premise that the English aristocrats were the ‘original gangsters.’
This time round, Theo James (The White Lotus) plays the lead.
