A sobering statistic was released today by John Hopkins University; global COVID deaths have now surpassed 5 million since the virus first emerged nearly two years ago.
And the U.S. holds the dubious record of suffering more deaths from the virus than any other country.
The U.S. alone recorded 745,836 COVID-related deaths as of November 1.
