Facebook and Insta Reject Over 2 Million ‘Obstruction’ Ads.

Today Facebook announced that it had rejected more than two million ads for trying to ‘obstruct voting’ in the upcoming US presidential election. And another 150 million posts were taken down as well as some top political posts (think President Trump) were slapped with warnings.

Facebook vice president for global affairs Nick Clegg made the remarks in an interview with the French newspaper Journal du Dimanche. Explaining that Facebook uses artificial intelligence that “made it possible to delete billions of posts and fake accounts, even before they are reported by users” he added that the company has partnered with 70 media outlets, including five in France, to verify information.
