Emmy Nods: Who’s In, Who’s Out. (And Does Anyone Care?)

1.) Watchmen took most of the Emmy nods with 26 nominations 

2) The Amazon comedy The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is the second most-nominated series with 20 

3) Netflix’s Ozark, starring Laura Linney and Jason Bateman, scored 18.

 

Water-cooler gossip (as if anyone is crowding around one these days) is that Jennifer Aniston is received an Emmy nod for Best Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her work in The Morning Show, while her co-star and Exec. Producer Reese Witherspoon was overlooked. (Our review of the AppleTV+show here.)

Former Saturday Night Live star Leslie Jones got up every early to unveil the nominations in a live-stream, which will probably be what the Emmy Awards will be on September 20th.
