The confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson will resumed today.

As Republicans try to find reasons to disqualify her, just because she’s Biden’s pick, there’s no question she is imminently qualified.  (Some might say, she’s more qualified than many men on the Supreme Court.)

For instance, the American Bar Association, which evaluates judicial nominees, on Friday gave Jackson its highest rating, unanimously “well qualified.”

It would be a historic nomination, making Judge Jackson the first black woman to serve on the highest court. (Of 115 Supreme Court justices, 108 have been white men.)

Today Republicans continued to slam Jackson’s record as too soft on crime, though they have promised not to make it a ‘spectacle,’ a reference to Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination in 2018. At least with Judge Jackson we won’t have to hear about her beer consumption.

Watch live.
