Twitter just rolled out new WARNING LABELS for ‘abusive’ tweets which includes — wait for it — politicians!
Twitter has always prohibited messages that ‘promote violence against, threaten, or harass other people’ on the basis of protected characteristics, but now will slap warning labels on politicians tweets that are deemed ‘abusive.’ To read said Tweet, users will have to click on a disclaimer to read them and Twitter promises to ‘depress their circulation, hence keeping offending tweets from going viral.
This is what the warning will look like.
Given that Trump has broken almost all of Twitters standards — that time he called porn actress Stormy Daniels a ‘Horseface’ or Omorosa a ‘dog’ — he’ll be the first to feel the sting.
Trump is, of course, crying foul, saying Twitter is a ‘Democrat-friendly company’ and the company is doing this to ‘censor him.’ But of course he did.
