This week Amanda Gorman—the youngest Inaugural poet in U.S. history—is featured on TIME’s cover, where the 22-year-old wears her now trademark brilliant yellow.

As part of Time Magazines’ “Black Renaissance” edition, inside is a ‘conversation’ with Michelle Obama who was a fan even before Gorman blew everyone away at Biden’s inauguration.

“Poetry and language are often at the heartbeat of movements for change,” Gorman told the former first lady in their virtual chat.
