In a complete about-face, President Trump now admits that journalist Jamal Khashoggi is’ probably dead’, after saying earlier that there was no evidence that the Wall Street writer had been killed.
Trump vowed that the punishment would be ‘severe’ if he finds that it was the Saudi Prince who ordered the hit, just after saying that he suspected ‘rouge killers.’
When accused of making excuses for the Saudis because of a lucrative arms deal, The President protested: I’m not giving cover at all. With that being said, Saudi Arabia has been a very important ally of ours in the Middle East.’
