Twisted Sister lead singer Dee Snider loves that his 1984 smash hit “We’re Not Gonna Take It” is being used as a battle hymn by the Ukrainian resistance.

“I absolutely approve of Ukrainians using “We’re Not Gonna Take It” as their battle cry. My grandfather was Ukrainian, before it was swallowed up by the USSR after WW2. This can’t happen to these people again!” Snider tweeted on Saturday as Ukrainian forces battled back the Russians.

He added a ‘F*** Russia!’ for emphasis.

Just recently, the Twisted Sister anthem was co-opted by some Florida anti-maskers, who Snider told they couldn’t use his song.

“People are asking me why I endorsed the use of ‘We’re Not Gonna Take It’ for the Ukrainian people and did not for the anti-maskers,” he wrote. “Well, one use is for a righteous battle against oppression; the other is an infantile feet stomping against an inconvenience.”
