With everyone home during the pandemic, is it any wonder streaming service grabbed the lion’s share of the Golden Globes nominations Wednesday morning?

Netflix was the big winner, with 242 nominations, including nods for Herman Mankiewicz’s biopic, ‘Mank,’ “The Trial of the Chicago 7,” “The Queen’s Gambit,” and “The Crown.’

Amazon also reaped the benefits with 10 nominations, mostly for the “Borat Subsequent Moviefilm.”

In the best actor and actress category, Sacha Baron Cohen, Anya Taylor-Joy and Olivia Colman each received two noms each.

Delayed because of the pandemic, the  78th annual Golden Globes will take place on February 28 with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler co-hosting the show virtually from opposite coasts
