Covid hospitalizations have gone down — a little bit — all over the US.

Does this mean we’ve seen the worst of it or will it roar right back as it has before?

With only 56% of Americans vaccinated that’s far below what we need for herd immunity. And children under 12 still aren’t eligible for a shot though that should change soon. (According to the CDC, 645 children have died from Covid-19 in the US and 27% of new COVID cases are among the under 18 population.)

But with fall coming and the double whammy of the flu, experts say it’s too soon to celebrate.
