The GOP kicked off the Biden impeachment trial today to see if President Biden committed a crime. Spoiler alert: He didn’t.
Meanwhile, the Democrats argued that Republicans have no evidence of a crime and are simply trying to impeach Biden as ‘payback’ for the House having twice impeached former President Donald Trump.
On top of that, Dems mocked the Republicans for taking up time with this hearing as the government speeds towards a Government shutdown — which the Conservatives have caused.
Democrats also ridiculed Republicans for holding the hearing as the government careens toward a shutdown while the GOP argues over funding legislation.
Still, the Republicans on the panel argued that more bank records from Biden and his son Hunter Biden are needed to determine ‘whether a crime might have been committed.’
