Seth MacFarlane is donating an additional $5 million to The Entertainment Community Fund — after his initial gift of $1 million — to help industry workers impacted by the ongoing SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes.

Formerly known as The Actors Fund, it has distributed more than $7.4 M to more than 3,515 film and television workers including writing assistants, production assistants, key grips, gaffers, lighting and sound designers, script supervisors, people working in craft services, hair & make-up, wardrobe and more.

Meanwhile, reports are circulating that some progress has been made in the negotiations between the WGA & AMPTP (the studios) and talks continue on Friday.
