Happening Now: Pipe bombs were White House, the Clinton’s New York home, the Obama’s DC home, and CNN’s HQ.
Days after a similar suspicious package was sent to billionaire George Soros home, pipe bombs have been found at the other targets in what police now are calling the work of a ‘serial bomber.’
Each package was found by routine mail screenings screeners who immediately called the police — reportedly an X-ray of the packages revealed metal and wires — and all the buildings have been safely evacuated. The bomb squad is on the scene and a multi-agency investigation has been launched.
The package to former President Obama’s home in Washington D.C. (pictured above) was intercepted by Secret Service early Wednesday morning.
The White House issued a statement regarding the devices addressed to Obama and Clinton condemning the ‘violent attacks’.
“We condemn the attempted violent attacks recently made against President Obama, President Clinton, Secretary Clinton, and other public figures,’ a statement from press secretary Sarah Sanders said.
‘These terrorizing acts are despicable, and anyone responsible will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.
‘The United States Secret Service and other law enforcement agencies are investigating and will take all appropriate actions to protect anyone threatened by these cowards.’
