Talk about perfect casting!
Selena Gomez is confirmed to play singer/songwriter Linda Ronstadt in an upcoming biopic.
Not only are they both of Mexican descent, but the talented actress is also a pop singer.
Gomez teased the announcement on Instagram by posting a photo of the “Heart Like a Wheel” singer.
Reportedly a huge fan of Ronstadt, the “Only Murders in the Building” star is already in pre-production with producers John Boylan (her manager) and James Keach, who produced the brilliant 2019 documentary “Linda Ronstadt: The Sound of My Voice.”
Sadly, Ronstadt was forced to retire in 2011, as she can no longer sing due to supranuclear palsy.
