The billboard has been up since last week on Morris Avenue in Union Township, a small town just 12 miles from New York City.

A billboard calling Trump ‘Our Leader The Idiot’ is raising more than eyebrows in a small New Jersey town.

It’s the work of activist Neil Harrison who said he’s paying for the billboard to promote the documentary film he’s producing. (In tiny letters the sign reads ‘A new film coming soon!’)

But even Harrison admits that the sign is more about calling out Trump and says it was worth it for the $1,000 the sign cost him.

‘Manafort was convicted. Cohen’s giving up everything he can, and we’re hoping that Trump is next,’ Harrison told the local news.

‘Basically, that’s what we are out here for. I’m an activist and that’s what I do. And we’re trying to drum up some real support here.’

Why not put up his billboard in New York? Simple — the city does not allow political messages on its billboards.
