When A New York teacher posted a fun little TikTok of her ‘favorite rat’ — Remy from the Disney Pixar’s 2007 animated movie ‘Ratatouille’ — she had no idea that it would inspire a Broadway-type musical that would raise over a million dollars for out-of-work actors.

Stars such as Queen singer Adam Lambert, Tituss Burgess and Wayne Brady quickly volunteered; the musical treatment was orchestrated by Daniel Mertzlufft; directed by Lucy Moss; and ‘ Ratatouille: The TikTok Musical’ was born.

Premiering on New Year’s Day on TikTok with tickets going for just $5 a pop, the show raised money for the Actors Fund.

Can we get a ‘hurrah?’
