When all 16 felony charges against actor Jussie Smollett who infamously staged a hate crime — against himself — — were dropped and the records sealed, an outraged mayor and police chief cried foul.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel, who was blindsided by the decision, went on Good Morning America, saying ‘This does not add up. They better get their story straight, this is making fools of us all. He abused the city of Chicago, he committed a crime here. He lied about something,’ he went on, adding that it was not just the state but also a grand jury who thought Smollett was guilty.’

Both the Mayor and Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson have demanded that the case records be unsealed adding that it was not just the state but also a grand jury who thought Smollett was guilty.

How long before they make this into a movie?
