A new report showed a dramatic increase in coronavirus cases in the US so experts are warning people to maintain safety precautions and get vaccinated as soon as they can.

More than 30% of American adults have been vaccinated but vaccine ‘hesitancy’ is still a problem. In a recent NPR/Marist poll one in four Americans said they would refuse a coronavirus vaccine outright if offered. Another 5% are “undecided” about whether they would get the shot. The numbers were highest for Republican men (big surprise) and people in rural areas.

This could prevent the US from reaching herd immunity — when 80% of the population has been vaccinated.
