Let’s file this in the Good News file (which is very slim these days.)

Remember that homeless man, Johnny Bobbitt, who gave a stranded woman his last $20 for gas? Then the grateful couple set up a GoFundMe page and raised $400,000 for Bobbitt?

After giving Bobbitt only a small portion of the fund, the rest of the money ‘disappeared’ according to the couple. So Bobbitt got himself a lawyer and now there is an investigation underway.

But the best part is the company behind GoFundMe has promised to pay the full balance of the original $400,000 that was raised for Bobbitt, who was allegedly defrauded by a New Jersey couple.

The crowdfunding site said it would make sure Johnny Bobbitt receives what is left of the sum he was promised, and police just raided the couple’s home and towed away an almost-new BMW they had just bought.

Suspicious? Yeah, just like the Hawaii vaca the robbers took earlier this month.

‘GoFundMe’s goal has always been to ensure Johnny gets [the] support he deserves’ said the company adding ‘We’ll continue to assist with the ongoing law enforcement investigation.’

Sometimes the good guys win.
