Ex-FBI head James Comey blasted the one-week deadline given to the FBI Kavanaugh investigation as ‘ idiotic.’ In an op-ed in The New York Times on Sunday, Comey wrote that agents had much better ‘nonsense detectors’ than partisans; that agents knew that ‘little lies point to bigger lies’ adding ‘Yes, the alleged incident occurred 36 years ago. But FBI agents know time has very little to do with memory. They know every married person remembers the weather on their wedding day, no matter how long ago. Significance drives memory. ‘
While Trump tweeted over the weekend that the Republicans are not limiting the scoop of the investigation, the Trump administration has already told the FBI not to interview certain witnesses.
