Our friend Dawn always has impeccable nails and during these COVID times, when a salon visit is just a wistful memory, she’s doing her own (perfect) manciure. So since her nail game is always on point we asked her to try these ColorStreet Nail Strips which the company claims ‘can last up to 10 days, require no dry time, and can be gently stretched and filed to fit any nail shape! ‘Sounds too good to be true? Here’s what Dawn thought:
Would I use these again ..?Unfortunately, no.The ColorStreet nail strip kit came with a prep pad that I am pretty sure was just rubbing alcohol, a nail file, and the polish nails. One nail gives you two options. Each nail has a slightly different size and shape. This is a great idea for these. ( Each set includes 16 double-ended nail polish strips. $13.)

I started with the glitter nail polish and was happy how easy they went on and broke away where needed. It stretched a little like it said it would, to reach the sides of your nail, but you need to be careful not to stretch it to much or it will tear.

I also tried the Coral color to see if a solid color would be more noticeable to imperfections. It most definitely was.

The glitter one was easy to file around the nail if there was any overhang and blended nicely.
They also went on a lot easier and bubbles could be blended out as opposed to the coral one.

The durability of the polish was not the greatest either. It reminded me of tacky nail polish that hasn’t fully dried yet. When scratched on a surface it just gums up and comes off. That is exactly what happened 10 min after having these on.
Nail polish remover works to get the polish off. The coral color removed easily, but the glitter polish balled up and turn gummy like glue. So, a little harder to remove .All in all, I would stick to just painting my nails. The only way I would use ColorStreet nail polish strips is if I wanted to use one for an accent nail and I would make sure that is was a glitter color. They seem to be a little bit more forgiving.
