For two nights only (April 27–28), Kyoto’s cult-favorite Kichi Kichi and its iconic chef, Motokichi Yukimura, will bring his globally followed omurice experience to LA, taking over Budonoki in Los Feliz.

The LA stop marks the final leg of a three-city U.S. tour with Spicy Hospitality Group, following earlier collaborations in Miami at YASU Omakase, The Joyce, and KARYU, as well as New York at 53.

After more than 45 years of performing in Kyoto, this marks Chef Yukimura’s first-ever appearance in the United States, with LA serving as the tour’s closing finale.

Famous for his Kichi Kichi Omurice (chicken fried rice with onion, shimeji, edamame, finished with a rich demi-glace), what’s made it so popular is the performance: each dish is prepared through his choreographed “Omurice Dance,” complete with rhythmic cooking, a precise tableside omelette reveal, and interactive moments with guests. It’s part dinner, part show.

For the LA residency, the experience is presented as an intimate prix-fixe collaboration with Budonoki, featuring a multi-course menu:

Each seating is highly limited, with reservations exclusively powered by Dorsia. The reservation link is here: https://book.dorsia.com/restaurant/1309/booking.
