Actor Anthony Head, who is perhaps best known for his roles in Buffy The Vampire Slayer , but gained a new audience with the hit show ‘Ted Lasso,’ has died at the age of 72.
This comes just six months after his partner, the animal therapist and rights campaigner Sarah Fisher, who died of cancer.

While the official diagnosis is that he died of complications from pneumonia, there is a medical term for literally dying from a broken heart — medically known as Takotsubo cardiomyopathy. It is frequently called broken heart syndrome or stress cardiomyopathy.

‘Ted Lasso’ co-star Brett Goldstein wrote:
“Anthony Head was a brilliant actor who played the worst person in the world, which was an incredible skill because he was the best person. “
‘Infinitely charming and kind and fun and a joy. He will be sorely missed. Love to his family.’
