Female-founded beauty brand LUXX announced they are donating 3% of all global sales to support UN Women, an organization that works to empower women around the world, so naturally I was excited to try out their newest products!

The entire Luxx De Argan hair care line is made with organic cold-pressed Moroccan argan oil, which means each product is packed with vitamins and minerals to nourish your hair. Argan oil is often called liquid gold because it’s rich in fatty acids and antioxidants. It’s also more easily absorbed than other oils, like olive or coconut, because it’s a smaller molecule. And it’s anti-inflammatory, which makes it great for scalp issues.

The De Argan Advance Oil [$33 USD] does double duty. You can use it as a pre-wash oil treatment to help give your scalp and locks a dose of moisture and protection before your shampoo. Or use it after styling to give your hair added shine.

The De Argan Advanced Essence [$30 USD] is a lightweight leave-in conditioner that promises to fight frizz while boosting moisture and volume. Use it on damp hair to strengthen and repair without any sticky residue.

And finally, the De Argan Heat Protective Primer [$29 USD] not only protects your hair up to 450ºF, it also has a UV filter in the formula to prevent against sun damage.

In keeping with the brand’s name, the packaging looks seriously luxurious, so all three products make a good addition to any #shelfie. And, after several weeks of using them, I can say they helped my hair look and feel just as luxe. I have fine hair that tends to get frizzy underneath and even after blow-drying it sleek, it can be hard to tame. Oils and leave-in conditioners are often too heavy, leaving it limp and greasy looking. But the LUXX products smoothed it without weighing it down. Even more impressive, the next day it still looked smooth!

Goodbye bed head, hello LUXX hair.
