Surveillance footage of police officers — in body armor — milling around in the hallway of Robb Elementary School while the gunman killed nine children and two teachers has just been released.
Published Tuesday by the Austin American-Statesman the new video clearly shows the police were heavily armed some with rifles and bulletproof shields and yet they waited more than an hour before stopping the May 24 slayings.
One police officer casually even checks his phone, amind the sound of gunfire.
Amid claims of a cover-up by the police and the council, this footage clearly shows the cowardice of the police, who are trained in active shooter drills.
