Between her bold designs, playful color combos, and totally un-intimidating tutorials, she’s turned nail art into something everyone wants to try — not just pro nail techs.

Known for her work with celebs such as Jessica Alba, Kristen Wiig, Kristen Bell, Jessie Buckley, Carey Mulligan (and many others), she makes it look so easy that even us ‘mortals’ can try her designs.

Queenie’s trendsetting work has been featured in publications such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Refinery29, Elle Australia, Cosmopolitan, People, C Magazine, the Hollywood Reporter, and Vanity Fair.

After meeting at a beauty event, we had so many questions.

DAILY CANDID NEWS: How did you become a manicurist with a huge TikTok following?

QUEENIE:

I’ve always seen nail art as an extension of something much deeper than just beauty because it’s been a creative language for me. Long before I became a manicurist, I was drawn to art in its purest form. I used to paint when I was younger, and that instinct to create, to interpret emotion and environment through color and texture, never left me. When I discovered nail art, it felt like a natural evolution of that part of myself but now, the canvas was living and more personal.
DCN: What is your inspiration?
QUEENIE:
I find endless inspiration in fashion, in beauty, and in the visual rhythm of the city around me. Additionally, nail art allows me to merge technical skill with artistic expression.
DCN: What are your favorite nail polishes?

‘ I’m mostly interested in nail polishes that deliver high-quality pigmentation and longevity. I love regular polish brands like Essie, OPI, Chanel, Holo Taco and ORLY and for gel polishes, I love APRES GEL.’
