Thousands of fans lined up overnight to pay their respects to the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, who fittingly, was dressed in a bright red cocktail dress and matching shiny red stilettos. Arriving at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History in her Detroit, Michigan, her hometown, in a gleaming gold casket, Franklin’s fans can pay tribute Tuesday and Wednesday.

The music icon died from advanced pancreatic cancer on August 16. She was 76. All hail the Queen.
