On Friday, disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein surrendered to the police after the NYPD and Manhattan District Attorney’s office investigation into sexual misconduct from at least one woman who reported that Weinstein forced her to perform oral sex on him.
It is expected that prosecutors will charge him with first- and third-degree rape in one case and first-degree sex act in a second case. Weinstein is also under investigation for alleged sex crimes in Los Angeles and London, and he’s reportedly the subject of a probe by federal prosecutors in New York. Weinstein’s case kicked off the #meToo movement which continues to gather steam.
