After Trump’s press conference in Russia, where he sided with the dictator and said he believed Russia was not involved in election meddling — despite the US Intelligence findings to the contrary — Senator John McCain tweeted about the President’s meeting with Putin :
‘…one of the most disgraceful performances by an American president in memory’ and says he ‘abased himself before a tyrant.’
‘Today’s press conference marks a recent low point in the history of the American Presidency,’ McCain added.
An incensed Paul Ryan spoke out as well, saying,’There is no moral equivalence between the United States and Russia.’
Nancy Pelosi, leader of Democrats in the House, had the best tweet, asking:
‘What do the Russians have on @realDonaldTrump personally, financially & politically?’
