You know all those Bernie and his mittens memes we’ve been enjoying? Well, the Senator decided to capitalize on his new viral fame — to raise money. He slapped an issue on a sweatshirt and then donated $1.8 million for charity.
“We’re glad we can use my internet fame to help Vermonters in need,” Sanders said. “But even this amount of money is no substitute for action by Congress.”
