Tiger Woods’ team tweeted that the golf legend was “awake, responsive and recovering in his hospital room” after undergoing surgery following the horrific crash in California.
Surgeons said they were forced to insert a metal rod into Wood’s tibia and use metal pins to hold his limb together after the accident, while screws and pins were also inserted into his ankle and foot.
While some sports pundits are questioning whether Woods will ever be able to play champion golf again, he has surprised everyone by overcoming the odds before.
