In texts revealed Tuesday as part of the $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit filed against Fox News by Dominion Voting Systems, a different Tucker Carlson emerges.
“We are very, very close to being able to ignore Trump most nights,” Carlson texted on Jan. 4, 2021. “I truly can’t wait.”
“I hate him passionately,” he added.
But publically Tucker continued to support Trump’s false claims that he won the election. Just this week the prime-time host cherry-picked from the Jan. 6th riot footage to show protestors milling in hallways and generally behaving peacefully, which was far from the actual truth.
