Another day, another environmental rollback by President Trump. This time, he has pressured The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to repeal the Obama-era ‘Waters of the United States’ law that afforded protection to streams and wetlands.

Of course, this is the result of intense lobbying by a trade group that wants to rape the land for profit.
Known as WOTUS, the 2015 regulation defined what bodies of water are protected under the federal Clean Water Act, but Trump had signaled that he considered it government interference. Democrats — and most rational people — argue that it’s necessary to ensure waterways remain pollution-free.
By repealing this protection, we could lose many of our protected wetlands and streams, polluting our waterways and further hastening climate change.
Anyone else notice we’re going backward?
