Based on Scott Turow’s best-selling 1987 novel about a prosecutor (Gyllenhaal’s ‘Rusty’) who is accused of murdering a colleague (Renate Reinsve), the tense drama focuses on whether our protagonist is a killer.

It’s revealed that he had an affair with his law office friend, which explains why his fingerprints were found in her apartment.

You may remember an earlier (1990) film that starred Harrison Ford in the starring role.

The limited series comes from showrunner David E. Kelley — a veteran of courtroom dramas  (L.A. Law to The Lincoln Lawyer) and executive producer J.J. Abrams.
