In the US, Biden signed a $13.6 billion aid bill to help Ukrainian refugees and for defensive equipment and training for the country’s military. In addition, the House of Representatives passed a bill to suspend normal trade relations with Russia, in another effort to inflict economic pain on the Kremlin.

 

 

And Biden called Putin a ‘war criminal,’ ‘murderous dictator’ and ‘pure thug’ as peace talks have come to naught.

In more depressing news, The United Nations Human Rights Office announced Friday that  816 people have been killed and 1,333 have been injured since the Russian invasion of Ukraine began, though those numbers might be much higher.
