Trump’s tariff war was proving to be very unpopular so in an effort to stall the growing resentment, the President announced a ‘new phase’ in trade relations with Europe with EC chief Jean-Claude Juncker at the White House Wednesday.

While it was short on specifics it puts the trade war on pause.

Trump said the United States and the European Union have agreed to work toward ‘zero tariffs’ and ‘zero subsidies’ on goods other than automobiles, all the while boasting that this was a ‘win’ for the US.

We’re taking a wait and see approach on this one.
