STYX bassist Ricky Phillips grew up in Redding California, which has been hard hit by the recent Californian wildfires so instead of canceling their upcoming date at the fire-ravaged town, they plan on donating $5,000 from their show to the Shasta Regional Community Foundation via their Rock To The Rescue 501(c)3 organization, which will be matched by the band themselves as well as venue out of net proceeds from the show up to $15,000.
There are still tickets available for their August 19 at the show at the Redding Civic Auditorium or you can donate directly via the charity’s website.
