On Tuesday, a wave of abortion-rights rallies were held across the country, to protest the dangerous anti-abortion bills passed recently by States like Alabama.
More than 400 events took place outside courts and statehouses, including The U.S. Supreme Court. Participants held up signs that read ‘#StopTheBans,’ Our bodies, our choice” and “You, yes you: Run for office.”
Why is this so critically important? Because ultimately it threatens Roe V.Wade, the law that legalized abortion nationwide. Make no mistake, women’s rights are being assaulted.
As Kristen Gillibrand told a crowd outside SCOTUS : “This is the beginning of President Trump’s war on women,” Gillibrand told the crowd. “If he wants this war, he will have this war, and he will lose.”
