Despite some party members who want to start impeachment proceedings against Trump, Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Wednesday that she’s is against that plan while emphasizing that she still believes Trump has engaged in a ‘cover-up.’ She has stated previously that she thinks impeachment would be too ‘divisive’ for the country.

‘We do believe that it’s important to follow the facts. We believe that no one is above the law, including the president of the United States, and we believe that the president of the United States is engaged in a cover-up,’ she told reporters after a meeting with Trump about infrastructure, the only issue both parties seem to agree on.

Impeachment talk took center stage again this week after  White House counsel Don McGahn’s refusal, under ‘orders’ from the White House, to comply with a subpoena for his testimony on the Russia investigation and his testimony outlined in Mueller’s report.
